Sadio Mané set to depart from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window
FootballSadio Mane: Bayern Munich Fans Troll Forward After Horrible Miss
- Bayern Munich stunned a ninth-tier German side 27-0
- Sadio Mane has been trolled by fans for missing a sitter
- Mane has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich went all guns blazing in their opening pre-season fixture against neighbours FC Rottach-Egern.
With the hopes of banishing the hovering memories of the previous season, the German champions put a whopping 27 goals past their opponents.
In quite an amusing turn of events, and amidst the haul of goals, it was the act of Senegalese forward Sadio Mane, who once again failed to cover himself in glory, that has got tongues wagging.
Mane, who is unsettled at Bayern according to reports from Goal and could seek a transfer away from the Allianz Arena, was brought in as a substitute yesterday.
The forward missed a sitter, as captured in a video posted on Twitter. Fans have since criticised the forward, with many hinting that his days at the German club are numbered.
Mane to leave Bayern?
By his standards, Mane had a below-par season. His end-of-season altercation with winger, Leroy Sane did the striker’s chance of retaining a spot at the Allianz Arena no good.
Reports in Germany have suggested that the club is willing to listen to offers for the 32-year-old.
However, Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has given a contrasting update on Mane’s situation at Bayern.
Romano has stated that Mane and Bayern recently held talks to clarify the situation around his future. The Senegalese forward is determined to stay at the club after a difficult debut season. This also comes a few weeks after the forward was linked with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.
Mane's agent denies Saudi reports
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sadio Mane's club future remains uncertain, with the player's manager making a U-turn about the Senegalese star's immediate destination.
A report from transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has stated that initial talks between Mane and teams in Saudi Arabia's top flight have taken place but are in the early stages.
However, the player’s manager, Bacary Cisse has recently denied the rumoured offers from clubs in the Middle Eastern country, even claiming that discussions had not taken place at all.
