Bayern Munich kicked off their pre-season preparations in grand style, delivering a jaw-dropping performance by hammering non-league side FC Rottach-Egern with an astonishing 27 goals.

In an impressive display, four players recorded hat-tricks, sending a clear message as Thomas Tuchel's squad geared up for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The Bundesliga champions showcased their depth by fielding two separate XIs for the match, per Sporting Life.

The first lineup, featuring a formidable back four and the talented Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer in the centre, dominated the game from the start.

According to SB Nation, young forward, Mathys Tel seized the opportunity to prove his potential as a future striker for Bayern Munich, while Benjamin Pavard, amidst summer transfer rumours, also made an impactful start.

Bayern thrash Rottach-Egern

The outcome was remarkable, with an incredible 18 goals scored in the first half alone. Tel and Musiala displayed their brilliance, each contributing five goals, while Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane also made their mark on the scoresheet.

The second half witnessed a completely different side taking charge. The likes of Sadio Mane, Marcel Sabitzer, Leon Goretzka, Kingsley Coman, and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting showcased their prowess.

Sabitzer, formerly of Manchester United, impressively netted five goals, with Guerreiro, Gravenberch, Coman, and Mane each adding a goal to seal an unforgettable landslide victory for Bayern Munich.

Bayern sign Serie A winner

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich on Tuesday signed South Korean defender, Kim Min-jae from Italian champions Napoli. Bayern said the 26-year-old was joining on a five-year contract but did not provide the transfer fee, Sports Brief reported.

Kim joined Napoli last summer and anchored the defence as they won Serie A.

"It's a new beginning for me," Kim told the Bayern website. "My first goal is to play a lot of games. In addition, I want to win as many trophies as possible."

Bayern chief reveals Kane plans

Sports Brief also reported that former Bayern Munich president, Uli Hoeness, has provided insight into the club's interest in acquiring the services of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The reigning German champions, Bayern, are preparing to submit a third bid for Kane, following the rejection of their initial two offers of €70m plus add-ons and €80m plus add-ons by Spurs.
