Cristiano Ronaldo was attacked on Twitter by Lionel Messi fans after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner recently criticised the Major League Soccer in an interview.
The 38-year-old Al-Nassr forward suggested that the Saudi Pro League was way superior to the MLS after long-term rival Lionel Messi completed his switch to Inter Miami.
According to Sportskeeda, Ronaldo made the dig at Messi after Al-Nassr’s pre-season friendly game against Celta Vigo, where his team where thrashed 5-0 by the La Liga side.
The ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United forward claims that the Saudi Pro League is bursting with more quality players than the MLS after he moved to Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in December 2022 after terminating his contract with English Premier League giants Manchester United and has been the biggest brand in the Saudi Pro League.

Meanwhile, fans have claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is just too 'obsessed' with Lionel Messi following his comments.
An Argentina national team fan page slammed Ronaldo as being jealous of Messi.
Another fan was delighted that Messi joined the MLS, as he believes that Ronaldo would have claimed he influenced the 2022 World Cup winner to join the Saudi Pro League if he had moved to Saudi Arabia.
