Marco Verratti has made headlines after his agent dubbed the experience of players at French champions PSG as a 'stay in prison'.

This comes amidst the recent rumour rocking PSG regarding Kylian Mbappe’s unsettled future and the letter he sent to the Paris club hierarchy.

Irrespective of the ongoing saga at the French club, it is Ligue 1’s official page who have decided to view events unfolding at the French capital in a lighter way.

The official TikTok page of Ligue 1 posted a video of Verratti being dribbled past by Marseille midfielder, Amine Harit. Verratti, who lay flat on the grass after he was dribbled past, saw his form edited into a Maldives pool resort setting. The video has since sent fans into a frenzy.

Marco Verratti to leave PSG?

Per reports from Goal, the Italian midfielder is a subject of transfer interest for Diego Simeone’s side Atletico Madrid.

With Atletico making clear their ambition ahead of the new season, the club has completed the signing of three high-profile defenders so far, including Chelsea’s ex-captain and veteran defender, Cesar Azpilicueta.

Verratti is currently surrounded by rumours amid growing frustration with the club.

AS Roma are also attempting to sign the midfielder, though this is reported to have hit a rock as Verratti is reportedly not interested in a return to Italy yet. Atletico Madrid will look to force PSG's willingness to sell. Verratti is currently under contract with PSG until June 2026.
