As noted by SAFA, Banyana are based in New Zealand for the tournament and have already been holding training sessions ahead of their first game.

One of the training sessions was open to the public, and Banyana interacted with their fans in the area. The South African side shared photos and videos of the turnout as many youngsters, in particular, came out to watch them play.

Many kids were also spotted in the stands, waving SA flags and chanting ‘Banyana Banyana’. The South African side invokes a lot of passion ahead of games, which seems to have also been rubbing off on the fans.

Even the Swedish national team have praised the Mzansi women for their energy.

Sweden recently shared a video of the South Africans singing 'Shosholoza' in New Zealand and thanked them for bringing their energy.

Banyana will be looking to bring that same energy when they face the third-ranked side in the world in the first group game on Sunday, July 23.
