Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has hinted that his club are ready to bring Tottenham Hotspur centre-forward Harry Kane to Allianz Arena this summer.
Bayern passed on replacing Robert Lewandowski last summer, but the German champions will bring in a new number nine this summer.
With the England captain's contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium set to expire in the summer of 2019, the Bavarians have emerged as the front-runner to sign Kane.
When asked about Kane, Tuchel declined to express an interest in the forward directly, but he did say that Bayern are ready to do whatever it takes to land the ideal player this summer.
"I have a very boring answer: I do not comment on players who are not with us," Tuchel told reporters during a press conference on Saturday afternoon, via Football 365.
"It's well known that we are looking for a number nine. If we find someone that fits in, then we'll go all in. If we don't find anyone, we're happy with our squad. But we need more patience."
Kane and Tuchel are thought to have recently spoken about the possibility of a transfer to the Allianz Arena during the summer transfer window at the England international's home in London.
Kane rejoined Tottenham's preseason workouts last week and is now included in the team for their upcoming tour of Asia and the Pacific. Spurs are still keen to hold onto Kane.
The North London club, however, runs the risk of losing him for nothing next summer, which might force them to approve a sale for somewhere around £80 million.

FootballHow Kane fared last season
During the 2022–23 season, Kane was once again in superb form for his club, scoring 32 goals across all competitions, 30 of which came in the Premier League.
According to Sports Mole, Spurs once more failed to win a trophy at the end of the season, and since they placed eighth in the Premier League standings, they will not play in Europe next year.
The chief executive of Bayern, Jan-Christian Dreesen, is thought to have met with Levy, the chairman of Spurs, last week to discuss a potential deal for Kane during the summer transfer window.
