Former Premier League player Gabriel Agbonlahor has enjoined those in charge of Chelsea to try their best to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen this summer claiming that they really need the Super Eagles star.
Osimhen last season recorded his name in the history book at Napoli as he finished as the highest goalscorer with 26 goals and also helped the team to win the Scudetto.
He was also the first African player to win the Golden Shoe award in the Serie A which was a significant record for the Nigerian.
His performances for Napoli made him a target for the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Osimhen is currently in Nigeria where he has been spending his holidays and has visited many places in Lagos.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Gabriel Agbonlahor made it clear that Osimhen is the player Chelsea needs to sign this summer.
Gabriel Agbonlahor speaks about Osimhen
“Victor Osimhen would be good, but I think they are talking around £170m for him, which is too much.
“But I do feel that Chelsea need more as every team is improving.
“Villa will be there next season, so will Brighton so it will be harder for Chelsea to break into the top four, and that’s the minimum for Chelsea with the amount of money they spent.”
