Football“We Will Sign Him”: Bayern Chief Makes Bold Claim on Harry Kane Transfer
- Harry Kane's future at Tottenham Hotspur is up in the air
- Bayern Munich have seen two bids for the services of Kane knocked back by the North London club
- Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are increasingly convinced they can convince the 2018 World Cup top scorer
Former Bayern Munich president, Uli Hoeness, has provided insights into the club's interest in acquiring the services of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The reigning German champions, Bayern, are preparing to submit a third bid for Kane, following the rejection of their initial two offers of €70m plus add-ons and €80m plus add-ons by Spurs.
Bayern is eager to strengthen their attacking options with a high-profile signing, particularly after the departure of Polish goal maestro Robert Lewandowski two seasons ago, per Sky Sports.
Despite reports of Paris Saint-Germain attempting to disrupt Bayern's pursuit of the prolific Englishman, Hoeness, now a board member of Bayern after stepping down as club president, believes his team is in the leading position to secure Kane's signature if the English captain remains true to his word.
“Harry Kane has very clearly signalled that his decision was made,” Hoeness said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“If he keeps his word, we will sign him. Tottenham will have to give up. We’ve got to get an asking price from Levy”. “Rummenigge speaks to him regularly”
Why Kane's move could be difficult?
Bayern Munich could face an uphill task to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur as the Bundesliga club push to sign a marquee centre forward this summer.
According to Sportskeeda, Super-agent Pini Zahavi has now explained why it could be tough for Bayern Munich to sign Kane this summer.
Th 29-year-old does not intend to push to leave Tottenham this summer, even if the club continues to turn down bids for him from Bayern Munich.
Bayern considers Kane alternatives
Sports Brief also reported that Bayern Munich have intensified their chase of England international Harry Kane ahead of the coming season.
