- Thomas Tuchel has weighed in on the Sadio Mane exit reports
- Mane has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with a possible reunion with Roberto Firmino at Al Ahli
- But his agent Bacary Cisse has refuted the reports
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has provided insights into Sadio Mane's future, addressing recent reports linking the player away from the German champions.
Mane's debut season with Bayern, following his €32 million transfer from Liverpool, was somewhat disappointing, producing 12 goals and 6 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
However, his first year with the Bavarians will be predominantly remembered for a dressing room altercation with Leroy Sane, resulting in a suspension and fine imposed by the club, as reported by GOAL.
Various sources suggest that Mane has been informed by the club's hierarchy that he is not part of their plans for the upcoming season, leading to speculation of a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
In response to these rumours, Tuchel has finally addressed Mane's status at the club, breaking his silence on the matter.
“We’ve got a constellation that makes it very difficult for Sadio. The player knows that too” the former Chelsea boss said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“Mane has a contract and wants to stay. And we respect that. But it's only the first day of training and a lot of things can happen in football”.
Mane not in Bayern plans
Following a challenging season with the German giants, speculations have arisen about Sadio Mane's future, with several reports linking him to a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia.
The 31-year-old may be on the verge of a move this summer as he is supposedly not part of the Bundesliga champions' plans.
According to Kicker, as cited by GFFN, the former Liverpool superstar has been informed by Thomas Tuchel's side that he is not included in their future strategies.
