Hugo Broos who is the coach of the South African national senior men's team has stated emphatically that his wards are good enough to qualify for the 2026 World Cup following the draws.
The Bafana Bafana are yet to feature in the World Cup since they hosted the prestigious tournament in 2010, missing the 2014, 2018, and 2022 World Cup tournaments.
Fans in South Africa have been worried and they are also clamoring that the Bafana Bafana should qualify for another World Cup.
South Africa have been seeded in the same group with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Benin, Rwanda, and Lesotho for the World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
According to the reports on Soccernet and Brila, Hugo Broos explained that his players can beat all the opponents in their group.

“The away games will be very important in a group like ours, but now a little bit more because we have five difficult away games for different reasons.
“I think it is possible for South Africa to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup first in the group. If you see the progress we have made in the last two years, you cannot compare those qualifiers (for the 2026 World Cup) with the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. We are better now, we have a better team now. So okay, I am confident.”
