- Coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his plan to maximise his midfield talents
Real Madrid’s coach Carlo Ancelotti, has announced his intention to experiment with a fresh formation during the team's upcoming tour in the United States this month.
Ancelotti aims to integrate recent acquisitions such as Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler into the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Real Madrid made several signings this summer, including Bellingham, forward Joselu Marto, playmakers Guler and Brahim Díaz, not forgetting the signing of full-back Fran García.
This decision of the Italian gaffer is also buoyed by the fact the Spanish giant witnessed a mass exodus of forwards, including Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.
Considering Bellingham's remarkable transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu, the already formidable midfield under Ancelotti has gained even more strength.
The Englishman now joins the ranks of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Dani Ceballos as senior options, further enhancing the team's midfield options.
Additionally, 'Turkish delight' Arda Guler also needs playing time to showcase his talents.
To try and get the best out of a talented group, Ancelotti suggested this could be the time to try something different.
Ancelotti on switching formation
Speaking to the media after Friday’s training session, the Former Milan Gaffer quoted by ESPN said:
"It may be that this year we are going to play a different system, taking into account the business we have done,"
"The systems we have used in recent years have given us lots of success and we must not forget that, but we have to try find a new style.
"We are going to try it, especially on the tour, which is an important moment in our pre-season."

FootballAncelotti was pressed to explain why he is considering abandoning his successful 4-3-3 tactic, Ancelotti argued systems must be adapted to suit the players and not the other way around.
"When I started training I had an idea and I didn't adapt to the players," Ancelotti recalled.
"I had the opportunity to sign [Roberto] Baggio and I didn't sign him because of his position.
"Then I realised it was a mistake, and when I had [Zinedine] Zidane I realised again.
You have to adapt the system to the characteristics of these players. I adapted and I continue to adapt."
The Real Madrid coach was also asked about the position midfielder Camavinga will fit in.
Ancelotti as quoted by 90mins was quick to reiterate the fact the days of the French man playing as a leftback are behind him.
"Our plan is to deploy Camavinga either as a central midfielder or as a defensive midfielder," Ancelotti confirmed. "If Fran Garcia or [Ferland] Mendy are available, he won’t play as a left-back."
