According to Caught Offside, Walker has made a U-turn on his decision after he reached a verbal agreement to join Bayern Munich this summer, ending his seven-year stint with the Citizens.

The England defender is expected to sign a two-year deal with an option of a further year with the Bundesliga champions to wrap up his move to Germany this summer.

Man City identify Walker replacement

Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard is believed to be Pep Guardiola’s top target to replace Kyle Walker when the England defender eventually joins Bayern Munich this summer, Goal reports.

Man City have already begun talks with the 27-year-old France international who is also keen on a move to England following the arrival of Walker at Bayern Munich.

Bayern have placed a price tag of £27m on Pavard, who is also a target for Man City’s rivals, Manchester United, who are still in search of a right-back.

Walker sends Saka hilarious request

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester City defender Kyle Walker put in a comical request when he met up with Arsenal's Bukayo Saka at the England training camp.

The two were at St. Georges Park before departing for Qatar, after making it into Gareth Southgate's final 26-man squad.

During their interaction, Walker hilariously asked Saka if Arsenal are planning to stop winning anytime soon, to which Saka asked him not to worry about that.
