Bayern Munich are on the verge of sealing a deal for Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker this summer following success in talks with the England defender.
The 33-year-old England defender has been in talks with the Premier League champions to extend his deal and has dismissed any talks of a purported move away from the Etihad Stadium.
According to Caught Offside, Walker has made a U-turn on his decision after he reached a verbal agreement to join Bayern Munich this summer, ending his seven-year stint with the Citizens.
The England defender is expected to sign a two-year deal with an option of a further year with the Bundesliga champions to wrap up his move to Germany this summer.
Walker joined Manchester City from Tottenham in 2017 and the England defender has gone on to win five Premier League titles during his time with the treble winners.
Man City identify Walker replacement
Meanwhile, Benjamin Pavard is believed to be Pep Guardiola’s top target to replace Kyle Walker when the England defender eventually joins Bayern Munich this summer, Goal reports.
Man City have already begun talks with the 27-year-old France international who is also keen on a move to England following the arrival of Walker at Bayern Munich.
Bayern have placed a price tag of £27m on Pavard, who is also a target for Man City’s rivals, Manchester United, who are still in search of a right-back.
