Premier League side Everton are now facing a serious battle for them to keep Super Eagles attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi who is into the final year of his contract at the club.
Last season, Everton chiefs were on the verge of making the Nigerian sign a new deal, but Iwobi changed his mind due to the club's battle against relegation.
The Toffees eventually escaped relegation and Iwobi has now emerged as a summer transfer target for many clubs in the Premier League.
According to the reports in Daily Post and Complete Sports, Everton Chiefs are considering selling Alex Iwobi this summer so as not to lose him for free next season.
Alex Iwobi's goals last term
The former Arsenal star featured in all 38 Premier League games for Everton last term netting two goals and providing two assists.
Sports Brief spoke to Super Eagles coordinator, Pascal Patrick, on where he feels Alex Iwobi should play next season with the Bauchi State FA Chairman urging him to remain at Everton.

The fight to escape relegation was not easy for Iwobi and his teammates, but they eventually secured their status for another season in the Premier League.
