  • At least 25 players have quit Chelsea since the summer transfer window opened
  • Mason Mount and Kai Havertz top the list of players who have quit Stamford Bridge
  • Several others, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Romelu Lukaku, are primed to depart

Chelsea are undergoing a massive squad overhaul this summer as the club prepares to usher in a new reign under new boss, Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino officially took charge of the club at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, succeeding Graham Potter, who was sacked back in February.

His arrival came at a time when the West London outfit had endured a disastrous campaign that saw them finish 12th in the Premier League standings.

According to The Sun, the Argentine is hoping to resurrect Chelsea next season and has already embarked on a big squad overhaul that has seen a number of players shipped out.

The publication reports that new owner, Todd Boehly splashed out £600 million across the last two transfer windows on new signings and is now hoping to recoup some of those funds to avoid breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.

The move has since seen the Blues offload at least 25 players so far this summer, with at least 10 more expected to depart.

Which players have left Chelsea?

Mason Mount and Kai Havertz headline the long list of players who have departed Stamford Bridge in recent days.

Mount sealed a stunning move to Manchester United, with Havertz swapping Chelsea for London rivals, Arsenal.

Others who have quit include Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy.

Kovacic moved to Man City to replace Ilkay Gundogan, who moved to Barcelona, while Mendy and Koulibaly signed for Saudi Arabian clubs.

Elsewhere, N'Golo Kante, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Baba Rahman have also left, with the trio departing on free transfers.

Forward, David Datro Fofana has been sent out on loan, while Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria left after their loan deals with the club expired.

Chelsea's release list consists of 13 players, including Derrick Abu, Prince Adegoke, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Nathan Baxter, Juan Familia-Castillo, Bryan Fiabema, Joe Samuel Haigh, Henry Lawrence, Sam McClelland, Dujon Sterling, Silko-Amari Thomas, Ethan Wady, and Jayden Wareham.

Who else could leave Chelsea?

Romelu Lukaku and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang top a list of at least 10 players who are expected to leave in the coming days, per The Mirror.

A move to Saudi Arabia has been mooted for Aubameyang, while Lukaku could remain in the Serie A, where he spent last season on loan.

Others include Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Marc Cucurella, and Malang Sarr.

The trio of Ethan Ampudu, Trevoh Chalobah, and Conor Gallagher could also be offloaded.

Silva wants Dybala at Chelsea

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Chelsea centre-back, Thiago Silva has disclosed that he has spoken to Paulo Dybala about joining the Blues this summer.

Dybala has widely been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to strengthen his frontline.

Silva has further fueled speculation that Dybala is a wanted man at Stamford Bridge after revealing he has spoken with the Argentine over a possible move.
