Barcelona, Real Madrid lock horns in intense Arda Guler transfer battle
FootballReal Madrid Attacker Awes Fans With 'Worldie' Goal During Training
- Real Madrid resumed pre-season training with new signings
- Arda Guler showed his unique talent with a dazzling goal
- The 'Turkish Delight' has been compared to Lionel Messi
Real Madrid’s new signings have consistently impressed in their pre-season training. A session last Tuesday saw Brahim Diaz score a Messi-esque goal which sent Real Madrid fans into a frenzy.
Still drooling over that worldie by the Spanish forward, Turkey's Arda Guler took things a notch higher as he treated Los Blancos fans to another sensational goal.
The 18-year-old, who recently signed a six-year deal with Real Madrid after turning heads during a breakout season for Fenerbahce, has been the subject of media attention lately.
In a video posted by the Spanish giants on Twitter, Guler left two defenders for dead before teasing the ball into the back of the net.
It is no wonder the attacker has been compared to seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi.
Guler drawing comparison to Messi
Guler attracted plenty of attention from some of Europe's biggest clubs this summer, having been excitingly dubbed 'The Turkish Messi' some time ago.
Fenerbahce were eager to keep the 18-year-old as they look to close the gap on Galatasaray at the top of the Super Lig next season, but the writing was already on the wall.
Interest in Guler came from far and wide, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Borussia Dortmund just some of the clubs in the running for his signature.
In the end, Los Blancos triumphed, with the Spanish giants committing to pay in excess of his release clause for an initial €20 million fee, with a potential €10mil in add-ons, according to a report by Goal.
With Guler and Diaz in the mix, many are expecting Real Madrid to rise to the top once again.

Sports Brief also reported on Real Madrid posting Diaz's spectacular goal on social media to show off the skills of their newest signing on the first day of training.
The goal left many fans comparing him to former Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, and Diaz is now being tipped to fill the void created by Karim Benzema’s departure.
