Brazillian star, Vinicius Junior joined Real Madrid in 2018 in a deal reported to be in the region of €45 million.

His arrival stirred a new beginning for the club as the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and manager Zinedine Zidane created a vacuum at Santiago Bernabeu that needed to be filled as soon as possible.

The Brazilian’s time in the Spanish capital started on a tense note. But fast forward to the present day, and the star forward has become pivotal to matters at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Since his signing in 2018, Vinicius has brought many trophies, victories, and loads of joy to the Real Madrid fans. Today being his 23rd birthday, Sports Brief takes a look at five of his best moments of the Brazilian in a Real Madrid shirt.

UEFA Champions League final goal

Vini's goal against Liverpool to lift Madrid's 14th Champions League trophy is one of the most precious moments in the club's history, making his career with the Spanish giants iconic already.

Not only did the winger produce outstanding performances in each game during the competition, but his chemistry with the team was a testament to how good he is with and without the ball.

First hat-trick for Madrid

Vini's first hat-trick against Levante UD was a sublime performance, in which Madrid won the Spanish domestic competition with dominance.

This game was a turning point to add to Vini's reliability. The player showed maturity with his positioning to help the team counter-attack, came back for help, and eventually scored goals to seal three points.

The hat trick by the Brazilian star helped Real Madrid win 6-0.

It also helped establish how the squad improved over the season as the fans saw Vinicius as a reliable attacker that will always strive to give an all-round performance.

Performance in 2019/2020 El Clasico

Vini’s performance in the El Clasico on 2nd March 2020 helped Real Madrid reach the top of the table in La Liga and helped them win their 34th league title with finesse.

The fixture against FC Barcelona was a challenging game where he displayed stunning quality, especially with his ability to read his teammates.

Champions League group stage brace

The fixture against Shakhtar Donetsk was a breakthrough for Vinicius.

In this match, the team won 5-0 in the group stage, and the Brazilian player bagged two goals. This game showed how Vini’s stance in a one-on-one situation had improved as he showed tremendous physical strength and vision to shake off defenders.

Quarter-final performance against Liverpool

The quarter-final against Liverpool saw an incredible performance in a crucial match in the 22-year-old’s career.

The winger was superb in the first leg. Not only did he score two goals, but his pace and positioning against a high-pressing team were excellent.

Vini's performance was eye-catching as the player was accurate in man-marking when the team was without the ball. His speed and precision also came in handy as he helped Real Madrid secure a 3-1 win.

Vinicius Junior unveils sports centre

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Vinicius Jr. has inaugurated a sports centre bearing his name at the school where his rise to fame began.

The 22-year-old returned to his alma mater, Odete Sao Paio School in Sao Goncalo, his hometown in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Los Blancos' new No. 7 took the spotlight at the opening of a sports pitch named after him to unveil the Vinicius Sports Centre, leaving an indelible mark on his roots.
