Declan Rice: 3 Arsenal players who could benefit from stunning transfer
FootballHarry Kane: 2 Players Identified in Case Bayern Munich Fail to Land Spurs Striker
- Harry Kane has become a priority target for Bayern Munich but the German champions are considering two other stars
- Bayern are making efforts to land the Tottenham Hotspur striker who has entered the final year of his current deal
- Two other strikers have reportedly been identified in case the Bundesliga giants fail to land the English goal-scorer
Bayern Munich have intensified their chase of England international, Harry Kane, ahead of the coming season.
However, two other players have reportedly been identified in case the Bundesliga champions fail in their pursuit of the Tottenham Hotspur striker.
Kane had been the club’s top target for some time, but recent news has indicated the 29-year-old is not the only player on the Bavarians' radar.
Will Kane join Bayern Munich?
As per Bild, alternative plans are already in place should the German club end up not signing Kane.
The player’s contract with Spurs will lapse next summer, and the report mentioned that Bayern will renew their interest in him once his contract at Hotspur Way expires next summer.
However, Spurs boss, Daniel Levy, is said to have adopted a tough stance at the negotiating table, which could influence the likelihood of the transfer going ahead.
Bayern identify two striker options
While Kane evidently remains the Bavarian's priority, Manchester City's Julian Alvarez or Juventus’ wantaway centre-forward, Dusan Vlahovic, are also being considered.
Bayern coach, Thomas Tuchel, believes that by combining these players with Eric Choupo Moting and Mathys Tel, the Bundesliga giants would have several centre-forward options for the 2023/24 campaign.
The German head coach is said to remain convinced, however, that both Kane and his family will benefit most from a move to the club and believes an agreement with Tottenham can still be ironed out.
Spurs slap £120m on Kane
Harry Kane appears to drop future hint with a new home close to Chelsea stadium
FootballAmong the moves made by Spurs to thwart interest in Kane is slapping a £120 million price tag on his head. Per Give Me Sport, Bayern's top brass believe this amount is too high.
Tottenham rejected two initial bids by the Bavarians in recent weeks, and this is not surprising considering their asking fee for the English striker appears far above what the Germans want to pay.
Despite all the back and forth at the transfer desk of both clubs, coach Tuchel is desperate to land the English striker to bolster his squad ahead of the coming season.
Schweinsteiger: Kane won't leave Tottenham
Sports Brief also reported on Bayern icon, Bastian Schweinsteiger discussing Bayern's interest in Kane and stating his belief that the striker will not leave the Premier League this summer.
The Spurs captain has entered the final year of his contract and has been offered a bumper new deal, yet the striker appears to have no plans to sign while the transfer window is still open.
