  • Several Liverpool players reported for first-team training on Tuesday, July 11, ahead of pre-season
  • Among them was Mohamed Salah, who was stunned by Jordan Henderson's physical transformation
  • The Reds captain seemed to have been hitting the gym as he looked more muscular than last season

Mohamed Salah could not help himself as he poked fun at his captain, Jordan Henderson, after the England international’s impressive body transformation.

Salah and Henderson were among the 14 members of Liverpool’s squad who reported back to the club on Tuesday before pre-season.

In a clip doing rounds online, the Liverpool players appear to be in high spirits, even though they will not be playing in the Champions League for the first time since 2017.

Salah was particularly stunned after spotting Henderson for the first time in weeks, and he quickly pointed out the captain’s physical changes.

While others were partying and taking it easy after the end of a gruelling season, it appears Hendy decided to work on his physique, as photos and videos shared by Liverpool show the midfielder with more muscle definition.

Salah, who also has a decent physique, can be seen in the clip pointing at his skipper in disbelief.

“Did you see this? Look at this,” the Egyptian ace can be heard saying in the clip.

Left-back, Andy Robertson, can also be heard marvelling at Henderson's new physique and declared: 'What a body'.

Mac Allister meets Liverpool teammates

Salah and Robertson were not the only Liverpool players to report back to training, with new signings finally getting a chance to meet up with their new teammates.

According to Liverpool Echo, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota, Caoimhin Kelleher, Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Kostas Tsimikas, and Virgil van Dijk were all spotted at the AXA Training Centre.

Salah, Mane among deadliest duos

Sports Brief also reported on the Premier League's 10 deadliest duos in terms of goal combinations. Salah made the list twice for his displays for Liverpool.

The list of the most lethal scoring combos also features the impressive duo of Thierry Henry and Robert Pires, who devastated any defences back in the day.
