- Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is a transfer target for many clubs in Europe
- His close friend has revealed that he wants the striker in the Premier League
- The social media influencer also slammed United for letting David De Gea go
Asiwaju Lerry, a close friend of Napoli's, Victor Osimhen, has some advice for the striker amid speculation over his club football future.
The social media influencer recently slammed Manchester United for allowing veteran goalkeeper, David De Gea, to leave Old Trafford.
The Spanish keeper's contract expired at the end of the 2023/23 Premier League season and he left United as a free agent, with the Red Devils reportedly in the market for a new force between the sticks.
During his 12-year stay at Manchester United, De Gea won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the Community Shield, and the Europa League, according to reports by Marca and the BBC.
Lerry believes this should influence Osimhen's decision if he decides to leave Napoli.
Sports Brief spoke exclusively with the influencer on De Gea's sombre departure from the Red Devils.
Lerry slams United over keeper
"Man United could have just made him a backup. [Inter Milan's Andre] Onana is not Premier League proven and he might struggle if they sign him. It is embarrassing how Man United treat their club legends. You will regret letting De Gea leave," he warned.
Lerry, who was hanging out with Osimhen in Lagos recently, also said he wanted his friend to play in the Premier League for any club apart from United.
"He can join any other club, which was what I told him," he added.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain is being touted as in the market for a new star up-front, amid reports that Kylian Mbappe could be sold before his contract expires at the end of next term.

Sports Brief reported on PSG identifying Osimhen as a replacement for their French superstar, who is currently in Cameroon for the off-season holidays.
Mbappe's contract in the capital expires next June and the club fears losing the former AS Monaco star for free if he continues to turn down any new deal.
There have been reports that Real Madrid are ready to sign the Frenchman this summer as a replacement for his veteran compatriot, Karim Benzema.
