Vinicius Junior got a surprise visit from Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar while on vacation in Brazil, leaving the Real Madrid forward highly emotional.
The pair have formed a good bond of friendship since Vinicius made his debut for the Brazil national team, as the PSG star continues to mentor the Real Madrid winger.
According to Goal, Vinicius, who grew up idolising Neymar, showed his thanks to his national team captain in a social media post on Friday evening as he described how much he loved Neymar.
"When you become friends with your idol and he comes to spend the day with you. "Never give up on your dreams" never made so much sense. Thank you for so much and I love you."
Vinicius and Neymar will leave for the 2023/24 club season before likely linking up again on Brazil duty during September's international break.
Vinicius pokes fun at Barcelona
Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior could not stop poking fun at Neymar’s former club Barcelona after they failed to sign Turkish midfielder Arda Guler, Football Espana reports.
Real Madrid announced the signing of the 18-year-old, who has been likened to Lionel Messi due to their similar playstyles from Fenerbahce, and he has signed a six-year contract at the club.
Vinicius highlighted a recurring trend of players opting to join Real Madrid over their El Clasico rivals as Barcelona had previously been interested in Vinicius himself and Rodrygo and Endrick before they all joined Los Blancos.
