Mason Mount has shown early signs that he will blend seamlessly at Manchester United after new footage of the midfielder in training emerged online.
The 24-year-old finally completed the move to Old Trafford on Wednesday, July 5, signing a five-year deal with the club.
His move ended an 18-year association with Chelsea, a club that nurtured him to become the formidable midfielder everyone knows of today.
He became the first summer signing of Manchester United, with the Red Devils paying £55m for Mount with a potential further £5m.
On Friday, Mount met up with some of his new teammates as he took part in his first training session at Carrington.
Mount did not get the pleasure of meeting all the United players since some are yet to return for pre-season training, but one player who was delighted to meet him was Lisandro Martinez.
Martinez, who is just returning from a long-term injury, was all smiles as he greeted the midfielder, and made a reference to the pair’s rivalry in the past.
In reference to their past altercation, the former Ajax man can be heard saying in the video shared by Manchester United.
"Come my brother. Before we fight, now we love each other."
Mount was a good sport and he echoed Martinez’s sentiments, saying, “Together now!”
Another Manchester United man who shared the same energy upon Mount’s signing was Bruno Fernandes, who also shared a cheeky post on social media on Wednesday.
