PSG agree €50 million deal to sign Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez
FootballBayern Munich to Discuss Yann Sommer's Future Amid Inter Milan Interest
- Yann Sommer joined Bayern Munich in the winter transfer window
- The Swiss keeper’s time with the Bavarians could already be over
- Sommer has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan in Serie A
Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer has become a subject of transfer interest and his time at the Allianz Arena could be coming to an end sooner than he anticipated.
The 34-year-old could feature in a deal involving Inter Milan’s Andre Onana; one which could cause a ripple effect if it does happen.
Going by recent reports from Sky Sports' German correspondent, Florian Plettenberg, Sommer and Bayern Munich will discuss the goalkeeper’s future when he returns from his vacation.
Inter Milan have emerged as an option for the Swiss international as their current goalkeeper, Onana, edges closer to joining Manchester United in the Premier League.
The Serie A club are one of many options for Sommer but his future will depend on the comeback of Manuel Neuer, who is set to return after suffering a broken leg in December.
The Swiss shot-stopper's current contract with Bayern expires in 2025.
Bayern's scepticism about Sommer
Sommer joined Bayern in January from Borussia Mönchengladbach for €9 million. However, the 34-year-old has not hit the same highs that he reached with his former club.
Goal reports that Bavarians coach, Thomas Tuchel, will make Neuer number one as soon as he returns from injury, which contrasts the viewpoint of former coach, Julian Nagelsmann, who was open to the keepers competing for their place between the sticks.
Mane’s Bayern future uncertain
Sports Brief previously reported that Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane could depart the Allianz Arena after just one season with the Bundesliga champions.
The Senegalese forward's debut campaign in Germany saw him score just 12 times in 38 games and suspended in April after a fight with teammate, Leroy Sane.
There have been reports that Bayern Munich could be willing to listen to offers for Sane just 12 months after a £25 million deal to sign him up from Liverpool.
