FootballIan Wright: Arsenal Legend’s Granddaughter Impresses Fans with Exquisite Football Skills
- Arsenal legend Ian Wright was left impressed by his granddaughter’s football skills
- A video of the two playing together has warmed hearts on social media
- Ian Wright is the father of former Manchester City player Sean-Wright Phillips
Former Arsenal star Ian Wright recently left social media users impressed after sharing a 30-minute clip of his granddaughter Raphaella playing football.
The young lass, who is the daughter of former Manchester City star Sean Wright-Phillips, can be seen showing off decent first touches and flair at the Whitstable Town FC ground.
To say Raphaella has potential would be an understatement as the young lady showed off a decent first touch whilst rocking bright orange Addidas football boots.
Another young baller, a boy, later joins her, but he was no match for her as she easily dribbled past him during a drill before scoring in an empty net.
Interestingly enough, she capped off the training session by scoring three goals in quick succession, leaving fans all saying the same thing.
For Ian Wright, who shared the video on his Twitter, he could only marvel at the young girl’s talent as he captioned the video with one word: “granddaughter”.
Wright also earned plaudits from the ladies, who hailed him for supporting and elevating the women’s game.
The video has since amassed over a million views on social media, with fans noting Raphaella had her granddad’s tenacity on the pitch.
@TheJackson92 said:
“The situation is that they take them to classrooms and then on a pitch at their early ages they have personal trainers. No wonder she is that good.”
While @Sheilagooner added:
“Hope to see her playing for Arsenal one day. Very talented young lady.”
@DanielNew commented:
"She has Wright blood in her, look at her go! Lioness captain in the making!"
