Paris Saint-Germain have granted Neymar an extended leave to sort out the legal issues he is battling with with the Brazilian authorities.

The PSG forward got into trouble in his home country after building an artificial lake on one of his properties without getting permission from the right authorities.

According to Get Football, Neymar, who was expected to report back for the start of the Parisians’ pre-season training this week, will now take further time off.

PSG took the step to show support to the 31-year-old superstar after he was fined €3 million by the Brazilian environmental authorities as he needs time to sort out the issue.

The night ended in turmoil after Neymar's altercation with another man, in which they pushed and shouted. The intervention of the nightclub security was even required to calm things down between the two.
