- Samuel Chukwueze is a Nigerian footballer who plays for Villarreal in Spain
- The winger has been linked with a move to join AC Milan this summer
- Villarreal President Roig has however spoken on the transfer speculation
Fernando Roig who is the President of Spanish giants Villarreal has made it clear that he is not sure if AC Milan are still interested in the signing of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze this summer.
The Nigerian winger was one of the forwards that did well last season in Europe as he helped his club to finish fifth on the final League standings and picked a Europa League ticket for next term.
AC Milan are planning to bolster their squad for next season and Chukwueze is one of the targets the club's chiefs want as they want to offer the sum of €25m.
However, Villarreal eggheads are asking for €35m for them to allow the Nigerian to leave this summer.
According to the reports on Football Italia and Sempre, Fernando Roig feels that Milan are now that serious about getting the services of Chukwueze.
Roig speaks about Chukwueze
“I don’t know if Milan are interested in the player. But if the interest is the same as when they came for Mateo Musacchio… On that occasion Galliani came and said ‘I want the player, but I have no money’, then we ate fideuà (a local dish, ed.) and went home.
“We are making the movements that the market allows us. The premise is to have a better team than last year. I am happy with the situation.”
