  • Wilfred Ndidi and his club Leicester City were relegated last season from the Premier League
  • Some clubs have shown interest in securing the services of the Super Eagles player
  • Ndidi has started training on his own ahead of a possible move this summer

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has shared a video of himself working hard in training ahead of the upcoming football season.

The Nigerian star was not at his best last term in the Premier League, as he was unable to save the Foxes from being relegated to the second tier of English football.

Injury was another issue that disturbed the progress of Ndidi last season, as he was out of action for up to three months.

During that time, the 26-year-old also missed the 2022 World Cup playoffs between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana.

For now, it is not yet clear where Ndidi will play next season, even though he has been linked with many clubs in Europe.

Serie A champions Napoli are the latest side that are said to be interested in the services of the Nigerian star.

According to the clip Ndidi posted on his official Instagram page, the Nigerian showed some brilliant skills on the pitch.

In another report on Naija News, Leicester City's new coach, Enzo Maresca has made it clear that Ndidi is free to leave the club this summer.

Ndidi's market value drops

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Wilfred Ndidi's market transfer value nosedived from €60m to €25m in just one year following the relegation of Leicester City from the Premier League at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Last year, Ndidi was rated as the most valuable Nigerian player, even ahead of Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, who is now fourth in the world following his impressive performances for the Serie A champions.

Osimhen finished last season as the highest goalscorer with 26 goals and also became the first African to win the Golden Boot in the history of the Serie A.
