Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has offered his maximum support for Jose Peseiro, claiming that the former Venezuela gaffer is the right man for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
The Nigerian Football Federation chiefs are yet to make their final decision on the future of Peseiro as a handler of the three-time African champions after the expiration of his contract at the end of June.
When did NFF hire Peseiro?
Peseiro's journey as the Super Eagles boss started after the team failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, losing the playoffs against Ghana.
The 63-year-old has not enjoyed good results in charge of the Super Eagles, which has led to fans and many Nigerians urging the NFF executives to free him.
Last month, NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau explained that his board will decide Peseiro's future based on the opinions of Nigerian football fans.
According to reports on Complete Sports and Daily Post, Osimhen stated emphatically that Peseiro is a sound coach.
