Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Georginio Wijnaldum is delighted to meet Ghana's National Chief Iman, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
The Dutch midfielder was in Ghana with teammate Memphis Depay for a seasonsvacation after a long campaign with their respective clubs.
Wijnaldum, who spent the last two seasons104 years old in Italy on loan with AS Roma, visited the leader of Ghana's Muslim community at his premises in Accra.
The 32-year-old took to social media to share the moment, insisting he has been inspired by the man who is 104 years oldwithout.
"Very grateful to meet the incredibly inspiring 104 year old Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the Chief Imam of Ghana and member of the National Peace Council," wrote Wijnaldum on Twitter.
The former Liverpool midfielder is expected to join PSG in pre-season as preparations begin ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Wijnaldum helped Roma win the maiden edition of the UEFA Conference League and was part of the team that reached the final of last season's Europa League.
The UEFA Champions League winner with Liverpool will be hoping to stay injury free ahead of his return to France.
Depay and Wijnaldum spotted in Ghana
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Dutch football stars, Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay have arrived in Ghana for a vacation after a long season in Europe with their clubs.
The AS Roma and Atletico Madrid players were spotted in a gym in Accra, where they engaged aspiring boxers as well as young children.
Depay, who has Ghanaian heritage, mostly spends his holidays in the West African country, where he is involved in philanthropic work.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian also attached an emotional and inspiring message to the post, reflecting on the relationship with his father.
The former Barcelona player is reported to have dropped his surname due to the experiences he had growing up without a father figure.
