Cesc Fabregas enjoyed an illustrious Premier League career playing for both Arsenal and Chelsea.

The move left a number of Arsenal fans disappointed in the Spaniard, with some accusing him of betrayal.

Incredibly, Fabregas' most successful stint in the English top flight came with the Blues, as he won two Premier League titles with them.

Fabregas chooses between Arsenal and Chelsea

The Mirror reports that back in 2020, the former Spain international gave a telling answer when asked which of Arsenal and Chelsea was his preferred club.

Fabregas had a Q&A session on Instagram with his daughter, with the ex-footie star asking his daughter what her favourite club was between two London clubs.

Incredibly, the daughter chose Chelsea, much to the chagrin of Arsenal fans.

The Spaniard later came out in defence of his daughter, with the legendary midfielder saying:

"To be fair, I asked her, 'From all the clubs that I've played for, which one is your favourite?' At Arsenal, she wasn't born. At Barcelona, she was only one.
"She lived in London with me at Chelsea for five years, coming to every game and wearing all the shirts... [it's] a bit of an easy answer."

Fabrgas' defence prompted a fan to ask him to state where his loyalty lies between the clubs.

The ex-Arsenal skipper responded:

"I'm just saying exactly what happened, that's all. [I've] been so happy everywhere I've been with ups and lows. Why the obsession to always have to pick one? She is only six and loved it at Chelsea. Bless her."

Fabregas speaks on facing Messi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cesc Fabregas' initial encounter with Lionel Messi has resurfaced in light of the former Chelsea, Arsenal, and Barcelona midfielder's retirement from professional football.

Fabregas and Messi were teammates at Barcelona's renowned La Masia Academy and later played together for three seasons when Fabregas returned to the Catalan giants after his stint at Arsenal, which began when he was just 16 years old.
