According to Goal, while De Gea could possibly remain at United beyond this summer, no extension has been agreed.

The 32-year-old's uncertain future with the Red Devils comes at a time the Manchester club are said to be bo shopping for a new formidable replacement.

Inter Milan shotstopper Andre Onana is believed to be top on United's wishlist, with reports claiming the Old Trafford dwellers are pursuing a deal for the Cameroonian.

Which way for David de Gea?

Apparently, De Gea is not expected to fall short of transfer options in the event Man United decide to part ways with him.

The Sun reports the Spanish keeper is a transfer target for Saudi giants Al Nassr in a transfer deal that could see him reunite with Ronaldo.

According to the publication, the former Atletico Madrid ace could pocket as much as £250,000-a-week if he seals the move.

De Gea has spent more than a decade at Old Trafford, having joined United in 2011 under the then-manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Spaniard has gone on to make over 500 appearances for the club and was part of the team that won the last Premier League title during the 2012/13 season.

Fans name De Gea’s replacement

Sports Brief reported that United fans asked the club to sign Onana as De Gea’s replacement after videos of the Cameroonian’s ball-playing ability went viral.

The 31-year-old has been criticised for lacking elements of the modern goalkeeper, which the fans think impeded the progress of the team under Erik ten Hag last season.
