  • Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to launch a mega bid for Bernardo Silva this summer
  • The Portugal forward has been identified as a top target for the Ligue 1 champions
  • PSG are planning to invest over €200million to refurbish their attack this summer

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to kick-start their summer splurge to bring in some of Europe’s top talents, and top on their list is Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

Following the exit of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami, the Parisians are looking to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2023/24 season and the Portugal forward is the ideal replacement for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.

According to Sportskeeda, PSG are ready to sanction an €80million bid for the 28-year-old Manchester City star who played a key role in their UEFA Champions League success last season.

Silva is expected to leave Premier League, FA Cup and UCL winners this summer, and a reunion with PSG sporting director Luis Campos in Paris remains on the cards for the Portugal forward.

Al Hilal and Barcelona are two other teams in the frame for the signature of Silva, although the Catalan giants are expected to back out of a deal due to their financial struggles.

Al Nassr to swoop in for Silva

Meanwhile, Al Nassr are set to shift their focus on signing Manchester City forward Bernardo Silva following the collapse of their bid to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea, Goal reports.

Ziyech was close to signing with the top Saudi Pro League club as he underwent an initial medical test to finalise his £7 million move, but hip and knee problems were discovered, leading to the collapse of the deal.

After winning the historic treble this season with City, Silva has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club with Al Nassr as one of his suitors.

Silva professes love for Man City

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bernard Silva is a big fan of one of his Manchester City teammates, so much so that he wishes he is from his home country of Portugal.

Guardiola has tweaked his team selection and tactics this season, and it has helped usurp Arsenal from the top of the league table and made them a dominant force in Europe.

One of the beneficiaries of the system is English defender John Stones, who has played as a hybrid between a centre-half and a midfielder, giving City extra body in midfield and defence. Silva picked him when asked which English player he wished was Portuguese.
