Lucas Radebe doesn’t believe that Kaizer Chiefs’ recent coaching changes are going to pose a threat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The former Bafana captain believes that Sundowns’ dominance will continue for a few more years.
As noted by News24, Chiefs appointed Molefi Ntseki as the new head coach to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Ntseki was a former Bafana Bafana manager but has yet to coach a club side in the Premier Soccer League. The decision hasn’t sat well with many fans, and Radebe himself is sceptical.
Sowetan LIVE reported that the former Amakhosi player doesn’t believe the change will be enough to challenge Sundowns.
“I don’t know who is going to stop Sundowns.
“They are still going to dominate for the coming few years. Unfortunately, the pockets are not the same, but it is what they put in the game that other teams don’t,” he said.
Sundowns continued their dominance this past season as they won the DStv Premiership for the sixth time in a row. They also won the league title for the 13th time in the club’s history since the inception of the Premier Soccer League.
Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have only won the league title four times since the PSL began.
Sundowns legend wants more competition
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs challenging Mamelodi Sundowns will be good for football.
That’s according to Masandawana legend Roger Feutmba, who has weighed in on his former side’s dominance.
