Inter CEO Beppe Marotta recently confirmed Manchester United are interested in goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Cameroon shot-stopper has seen his ratings impressively rise after a superb season with the Nerazurri, who he helped reach the Champions League final.
Speaking at the at the Gran Gala in Italy on Friday, June 30, Marotta said, as quoted on GOAL:
"Manchester United expressed a particular interest, but that needs to blossom into making a proposal over the next few days.”
"Once that happens, both Inter and the player will make a careful evaluation."
Express Sport further quoted Gazzetta dello Sport, saying United were in a hurry to secure Onana’s deal, and expect everything to be in place in the coming week.
Red Devils chiefs were scheduled to meet with Inter general manager Piero Ausilio on Friday, but the meeting did not take place as Ausilio was caught up in Marcelo Brozovic’s transfer to Saudi Arabia.
United have all but completed the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea in a £60million deal that shows some intent in the transfer market from the club.
However, there have also been some departures, with loanees Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst returning to their parent clubs Bayern Munich and Burnley respectively.

Meanwhile, Sports Brief reported of an inspiring video of De Gea and some of his best saves as a Manchester United player.
The Spaniard has spent 12 years at Old Trafford, and was the remaining member of the last United squad to win the Premier League title.
Born in Madrid and raised in nearby Illescas, De Gea began his playing career with Atlético Madrid, rising through the academy system at the club before making his senior debut in 2009, aged 18.
Some of his saves as a Manchester United player have been crucial for specific games, and De Gea has been the difference between a win and a loss on numerous occasions as a Red Devils.
