  • They have some exciting players in their books including goalkeeper Yassine Bono

Sevilla should be a poaching ground for European teams after reports emerged that the whole squad is touchable as the club are looking to recoup funds.

This comes after the Spanish club won a record-extending seventh UEFA Europa League League crown, beating Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.

Radio Marca reported that the club has a €90m debt and will need to recoup funds which explains why former sporting director Monchi left and former Leeds United director Victor Orta was brought in.

Sports Brief looks at eight players other clubs can target as Rojilosblancos make all players transferrable, including World Cup winner Gonzalo Montiel.

1. Yassine Bono

The Moroccan goalkeeper should be a high target after his impressive season in which he helped the club win the UEL and also helped his country become the first African country to reach the World Cup semi-final in Qatar. According to Sport News Africa, Inter Milan, Tottenham, and Aston Villa are interested in the 31-year-old.

2. Gonzalo Montiel

The right-back is the definition of clutch; he won the World Cup with Argentina, scoring the winning penalty, a feat he repeated in the Europa League final. According to Planet Sports, the 26-year-old’s future was already in doubt after allegations of sexual assault against him.

3. Lucas Ocampos

The Argentine forward spent the first half of last season on loan at Ajax but returned to Seville in January, where he helped win the Europa League. He is already a subject of interest from Premier League clubs, including Fulham, with the Spanish ready to accept half his release clause of €80m.

4. Joan Jordan

The versatile Spanish midfielder made 39 appearances in all competitions, including 23 in La Liga, where the club flirted with relegation a few times. He had previously been linked with Arsenal and West Ham before he joined Sevilla.

5. Jesus Corona

The Mexican joined Sevilla last summer from Porto and has struggled to break into the team due to a serious knee injury which forced him to miss the World Cup. AS reports that his agent confirmed Tecatito could be looking to restart his career elsewhere.

6. Suso

The former Liverpool and AC Milan player Suso made 43 appearances for Sevilla last season, including eight in the triumphant UEL run. Football Espana reported that Almeria, Espanyol and Cadiz inquired about the winter in January.

7. Youssef En-Nesyri

The Moroccan winger has been a mainstay of the team since joining in 2020 and is one of those who can fetch good money. Mundo Deportivo reports that Newcastle United are willing to pay €35m for his services.

8. Rafa Mir

The Spaniard has quite a fair goalscoring record for Sevilla, and having had previous spells in the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers, he is one to look out for to help raise funds.

9. Loic Bade

The French fullback spent the first half of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest before moving to Spain on loan. After 27 appearances in the second half of the season, his deal was made permanent.

Gonzalo Montiel makes history

Sports Brief reported that Gonzalo Montiel made history after scoring the winning penalty for Sevilla in their 4-1 shootout win over Roma in the Europa League final.

He became the first player to score the winning penalty in a European and World Cup final and was also the first to do so in the same season.
