- This comes after he won the domestic treble with Scottish giants Celtic

Former Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder, Aaron Mooy, has called time on his football career at 32.
Mooy is coming off a season where he won the domestic treble with Scottish giants, Celtic. He made 41 appearances, scoring seven times.
He also played 57 times for the Australian national team between 2012 and 2022, where he appeared at two World Cup tournaments (2018 and 2022).
The Socceroo legend came through the ranks at Bolton Wanderers before playing for the likes of St Mirren, Western Sydney Wanderers, Melbourne City, Manchester City, Huddersfield Town, Brighton, and Shanghai Port.
He joined Celtic to play under his compatriot, Ange Postecoglou, per the BBC.
What Mooy said about retirement
Mooy said the time was right for him to leave the game after having an unforgettable campaign with Celtic, but admitted he was also sad.
"I have been so fortunate to enjoy such a great career across the last 15 years, creating some fantastic memories. I am delighted to finish my career on such a high with Celtic... I was delighted to be part of such a memorable season."
He made 96 Premier League appearances and believes it is the right time to give the young Socceroos a chance in the national team setup.
"This has been a hugely difficult decision [to retire], but I feel the time is right for the next generation to be given the opportunity to experience international football. I believe we have the talent coming through to build upon that as work begins towards 2026."
Mooy helped the Socceroos progress past the group stage in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, for the first time since 2006.
