Italian midfielder Jorginho has broken his silence on reports he is looking to leave Arsenal ahead of the possible arrival of Declan Rice.
Jorginho joined the Gunners on transfer deadline day in January, swapping Chelsea for the North Londoners in a £12 million deal.
The former Napoli star is understood to have penned a year-long contract with the Mikel Arteta-tutored side.
According to Sportbible, he has gone on to establish himself as an integral squad member for the Emirates-based outfit.
However, reports claim he could depart Arsenal after just six months with them should Rice join the club.
Jorginho happy at Arsenal
The former Blues midfielder has come out to deny the rumours linking him with a possible Emirates exit this summer.
According to Jorginho, he is happy at the club, insisting he is not looking to depart.
“To be honest, I was surprised but really happy by how welcome I was, how (Arsenal) treated me when I came in,” Jorginho told the Evening Standard.
“I’m very happy to stay at Arsenal to be honest. Those rumours, I’m not sure who was behind it, to be honest, but nothing at the moment has happened to me. I’m quite happy where I am," he added.
Arsenal have Rice among their top transfer targets this summer, with Arteta keen to bolster his midfield in preparation for next season.
