- Ntseki was appointed as the Amakhosi’s head coach while Zwane was demoted to an assistant coaching role
- Former Yanga coach Nasreddine Nabi was in constant talks with the club to become the new coach next season
It’s hard to describe the emotions that Kaizer Chiefs’ fans are going through at the moment.
The Amakhosi supporters got their wish when they wanted the club to replace Arthur Zwane, but the choice of the new coach has surprised many.
Despite being linked with former Young Africans coach, Nasreddine Nabi, the club have instead appointed a former Bafana Bafana manager.
As noted by News24, former South African national mentor, Molefi Ntseki, was appointed as the club’s manager effective immediately.
The decision has taken many by surprise, and Chiefs’ post on Twitter to announce the decision has already received over 7 000 comments alone.
Needless to say that fans are taken aback, with many wondering if the club even cares about the fans' feelings.

“This is a disaster of note, Makhosi what have we done to deserve this?😭 Yazi, y’all keep hurting us. Even during a break off the pitch, you’re making sure😭.
@LindoMyeni:
“Out of everyone, they went for Molefi Ntseki, plumber of note! He failed in Bafana what glory he would bring to Naturena! This club is a joke!”
@PovertykillerB:
“As a Kaizer Chiefs fan I finally admit that Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are better than Kaizer Chiefs. @kaizerm_jr you don’t respect us fans! You’ll regret all this.
