FootballMan United Legend Predicts Arsenal Will Finish Outside the UCL Spots Next Season
- Louis Saha has claimed that Arsenal could finish outside the top four next season despite their encouraging campaign during the 2022/23 term
- The Gunners mounted a serious challenge for the title but were beaten to the crown by Man City in the final weeks of the campaign
- Saha contends Arsenal are unlikely to be in the same position next term, backing Liverpool, Chelsea, and Man United to be in the mix
Manchester United legend Louis Saha has painted a grim picture of Arsenal's chances of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The Gunners enjoyed a successful 2022/23 campaign under Mikel Arteta, missing out on the league title by a whisker.
According to The Mirror, Arteta's men were dominant through the season and looked set to secure the crown for the first time since 2004.
However, a disastrous end to the season saw them beaten to the title by Manchester City, who were keen to defend it.
The north Londoners will be hoping to mount another serious challenge for the trophy, with the club currently active in the transfer window as they push to strengthen their squad.
Saha predicts where Arsenal will finish
While many contend Arsenal will still have what it takes to challenge for the Premier League title, Saha believes even qualifying for the Champions League will be a mountainous task for Arteta's charges.
According to the former Man United star, City, Liverpool, United and Chelsea will all finish ahead of the Emirates dwellers.
"I believe that Liverpool are going to be up there and will most likely be the main threat," Saha told Befred when asked who he believes will challenge City for the crown.
"Everybody will probably say Arsenal because of what they did last season. But even if they make some good signings this summer, I’ll still be surprised if they finish ahead of Man City, Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea next season," he added.
