Stormzy, known in real life as Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Junior, could soon become the new co-owner of English club, AFC Croydon Athletic.
The British-Ghanaian rapper has formed a consortium with Crystal Palace star, Wilfried Zaha, and the club's Head of Player Care, Danny Young, to acquire their 'boyhood club'.
The exchange of ownership is reportedly set to be completed following formal approval from the English Football Association.
“We are delighted to embark on a new era at AFC Croydon Athletic, subject to final FA and league approval. This has been the culmination of many months of discussions,” the club wrote in an official statement on Twitter.

FootballStormzy, who just released his new single, Longevity Flow, confirmed his newest venture with his partners.
“A three-person consortium comprised of Wilfried Zaha, Stormzy, and Danny Young has exchanged contracts with the existing ownership of AFC Croydon Athletic to acquire the assets of the club,” read a statement shared on his Instagram.
The statement explained the consortium would 'own, operate, and develop' the football club.
“Whilst completion is subject to legislative and governance procedures, the three consortium members are excited about developing a community asset in the borough that gave them their own opportunities. They hope to take the entire community on this exciting journey with them.”
AFC Croydon Athletic is an English semi-professional club based in London.
Meanwhile, Sports Brief reported on Zaha ranking third in Africa for the most-capped players in the Premier League, with his appearance against Leeds United his 273rd in the English top flight.
