Kalidou Koulibaly has offered some advice to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, urging the Napoli man not to be intimidated into making a decision he would regret later on about his future this summer.

Osimhen is wanted by several big clubs in Europe this summer but he is valued at £150m by Napoli who still want the Nigerian to remain in the Serie A.

The former Lille star was last season in excellent form netting 26 goals and also helped Napoli to win the Scudetto after 33 years.

That has made the Nigerian become a transfer target for some big clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to reports on Daily Mail and Football London, Koulibaly who recently left Premier League side Chelsea stated that Osimhen should make decisions on his own.

Koulibaly advices Victor Osimhen

“We speak once in a while and if he needs, he’ll call me.
“Victor is an important player, among the best in the world. Gennaro Gattuso helped him, Luciano Spalletti was a turning point for him and now he needs nobody.
"He must feel free to choose without listening to anyone else. That’s the only way not to have regrets."

The Senegalese played alongside Osimhen for two seasons at Napoli before he moved to Chelsea.

Osimhen hangs out with friends

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen continued to holiday in Nigeria, with the striker recently spotted with Peter Okoye of P-Square and Crayon.

Following a remarkable season with Napoli, Osimhen is enjoying his summer holiday back home in his country.

The 24-year-old helped the Partenopei win the Serie A title for the first time in over three decades, having scored 26 goals in the Italian top flight.

He also helped the Super Eagles pick up a ticket to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to kick off in Ivory Coast next January, after scoring a brace in the 3-2 win over Sierra Leone in Monrovia.
