Phil Foden’s son, Ronnie, could be on his way to internet stardom even before he fully knows what is happening around him, after amassing one million Instagram followers in less than 24 hours.

Ronnie became an internet sensation due to his charismatic dance and poses for photographs during the UEFA Champions League final celebrations.

His Manchester City star father replaced the injured Kevin De Bruyne in the first half and was pivotal in securing a 1-0 win over Inter Milan at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

The triumph was Man City’s first in the prestigious competition and helped complete a historic cup treble - the second for manager, Pep Guardiola.

Ronnie Foden followed by millions

Foden and his partner, Rebecca Cooke manage the Instagram account, which was likely opened after fans asked for more of their son's cute antics.

ESPN FC spotted the followers count and reported it surpassed 1 million in less than 24 hours. He follows 64 people and has prominent followers like Chelsea star, Mason Mount.

According to Mirror UK, four-year-old Ronnie was given the nickname El Wey by some Spanish Man City fans after the final in Istanbul. The nickname is translated as 'the dude'.

Ronnie’s moment with Rico Lewis

Sports Brief reported that Ronnie shared a cute moment with Rico Lewis after the final and was so immersed that he asked the academy graduate to send the video to his dad.

Lewis and El Wey were spotted dancing beside a car, with the 18-year-old filming the scene and the clip becoming one of the moments that introduced the child to the internet.

Foden scores a millennium goal

Sports Brief also reported that Foden scored Man City's 1,000th goal under Pep Guardiola’s reign with the third score in the 3-0 win over West Ham United.

He was a worthy scorer, with the 22-year-old's rise to the first team orchestrated by the Spanish boss, who helped him transition fully into a senior team star.
