- Napoli want as much as €150m (£130m) for the 24-year-old superstar, a figure which could scuttle the proposed bid
English Premier League giants Liverpool have set up a transfer meeting between the club officials and Victor Osimhen’s representatives.
The Reds have lined up an interactive session with the striker’s entourage, who will also meet two other English clubs.
Osimhen has indicated an interest in the English Premier League after helping Napoli win the Serie A title for the first time in more than three decades.
Famous journalist Sacha Tavolleri disclosed that Liverpool will discuss their bid to sign the player, but Napoli want as much as €150m (£130m) for the 24-year-old superstar.
Rousing The Cop reports that such a figure would break Liverpool’s current spending record as well as the Premier League record set by Chelsea in January for Enzo Fernandez.
Jurgen Klopp’s side is already stacked up in the attack, and interest in Osimhen could soon vanish.
Although signing the Nigerian forward would be an incredible transfer, the finances and the forward’s actual position means that a deal would not make sense despite his obvious abilities.
Osimhen reunites with old friends
Meanwhile, Osimhen visited his old friends in the Ojota area of Lagos State, where they shared a reunion.
The former Lille of France striker grew up in the area and attended Olusosun Primary School during childhood.
Following his successful season after leading Napoli to the Italian Serie A, having scored 26 league goals, the forward returned home to reunite with his old pals.
