Frank Lampard departed Chelsea for the second time at the end of last season, but some of his signings from his first spell are still at the club.
Lampard took over his former club in the summer of 2019 when the club was on a two-window transfer embargo and secured a top-four. The club splashed the cash the following summer, but it soon spelt the end for him.

FootballThe magician of Amsterdam was the first to enter the fray at Stamford Bridge. According to BBC Sports, Chelsea agreed to sign Ziyech for £36.6m from Ajax in February 2020. He has had a mixed time of more lows than highs and is now set to join Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
The pacey German forward joined the Blues from RB Leipzig for £47.5m. It did not quite work for the versatile forward, but notably, he never gave up on the pitch and always kept trying. He returned to Leipzig for half the fee he came in for last summer.
Another German star, Kai Havertz, joined at the request of former owner Roman Abramovich, who couldn’t bear seeing him at another club, as reported by Express UK. Chelsea paid £72m, and he got his moments with the Champions League and Club World Cup winning goals. He is now set to join Arsenal for £67.5m.

FootballThe Senegalese goalkeeper Édouard Mendy was brought in to replace the out-of-form Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Blues paid £22m after a recommendation from Petr Cech. He had his glory moments but is now set to join Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian veteran was signed for free after his contract at PSG was not renewed. He revealed a chat with Lampard convinced him. He is the most successful and is still going strong at 38. His contract expires next summer, and he will likely return to Brazil.
The English left-back joined Chelsea for £50m from Leicester City. He was pivotal in the Champions League win, but afterwards, he has struggled with fitness. He extended his contract this year amidst interest from Manchester City.
The poorest of them all, Malang Sarr joined Chelsea as one of French football’s brightest prospects after running down his OGC Nice contract. He has gone on loans at Porto and Monaco, and the club will find a solution this summer.
