Argentine football legend Juan Sebastián Verón has shared his thoughts on Lionel Messi's move to MLS club Inter Miami.
After spending nearly two decades in Europe playing for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, Messi made a sensational transfer to the United States.
While he had the option to return to Barcelona or pursue a lucrative deal in Saudi Arabia, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner chose to join Inter Miami, BBC reports
Veron, analyzing Messi's decision, hinted that his compatriot opted for a less demanding path among the various enticing offers he had received.
“At this moment, from what he says, look for peace of mind, although it will be difficult, less demanding at the end of his career,” he told SPORT as quoted by Daily Post.

FootballButtressing Veron's claims, Gareth Bale, who called time on his career at 33, suggested that there is less pressure in the MLS due to the teams being more accepting of losses, Sports Brief reported.
Bale's comments come in response to Messi's move to the United States after the latter concluded his two-year stint with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Welsh international reflected on the contrasting dynamics between European and American soccer leagues, highlighting the MLS as a destination where players may experience a less demanding environment.
Sports Brief also reported that Lionel Messi could play his first game for his new team Inter Miami on July 21.
The 2022 World Cup winner, who turned 36 on June 24, is expected to make his first appearance at DRV PNK Stadium in the League Cup match against Liga MX side Cruz Azul.
DRV PNK Stadium has a capacity of only 18,000, and demand to watch Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain in action in the flesh will far outstrip supply.
