And to crown the moment, the Spanish ace decided to walk his lover down the aisle in a lavish ceremony.
The Sun reports that Laporte and his partner Sara have been dating since the Spain international's days with La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.

Haaland was among the high-profile football stars who graced Laporte's wedding.
The Premier League Golden Boot award winner was accompanied by his rarely-seen girlfriend, Isabel.
City's Champions League final hero Rodri was also in attendance.
Haaland wore a navy blue suit for Laporte's big day, which he complemented with a white shirt and sunglasses.
On her part, Isabel stunned in an elegant printed dress, with the bridegroom sporting a darker suit with a white, spotty tie.

Meanwhile, Laporte's wedding with Sara came at a time he is staring at an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium.
According to Manchester Evening News, Man City are open to allowing the defender to leave the club this summer.
