Pablo Franco Martin wants to make history with AmaZulu.
The new Usuthu boss has highlighted his ambitions for the club, saying that he’s already proved himself against Orlando Pirates before.
Martin, who previously coached Tanzania’s Simba SC, came up against the Buccaneers in the CAF Confederations Cup last season.
While Pirates did win the game, the new AmaZulu coach believes he showed his worth and can do more with the team, iDiski Times reported.
"If I could do it with Simba being inferior, I’m sure with AmaZulu I’m going to be capable of performing and fighting for the tournaments," he said.
The 43-year-old also explained that he wanted to make history with the KwaZulu-Natal side going forward.
"I’m going there with [the] intention of making history and bringing the team back to where it deserves to be. I want to make everyone there, especially the fans and the people in the club proud of what we’re going to do," he said.
Martin said he wanted to show fans a team that was more aggressive, more committed in defence, and working harder in reaction to the game.
"In the end, it is making [the fans] proud of us," Martin added.
