Football“Get Another Shirt!” Erling Haaland Aims Brutal Dig at Fan Wearing Man United Jersey
- Erling Haaland hilariously covered the Manchester United badge on a fan's jersey
- The Manchester City striker was serenaded by fans in his home country of Norway
- He recently helped his side beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final en route to winning the treble
Erling Haaland made his feelings clear on where his loyalties lie after he aimed a subtle dig at a young boy donning a Manchester United shirt.
The Manchester City star was mobbed by a group of fans in his native Norway this week.
In a clip shared on social media, the striker appeared uncomfortable taking a photograph with a fan who was wearing a United jersey.
The 22-year-old asked whoever was taking the photographs to stop first; he then covered the badge before giving the go-ahead on the picture. He then hilariously asked the fan to 'get a new shirt' before he walked away.
The Norwegian was understandably worried about taking a photograph with a fan of his rival club.
The Red Devils remain the most successful of the two teams, but in the last ten years, City have risen in leaps and bounds. That culminated with their first Champions League triumph on June 10.
Haaland was the star of the show in his maiden season. He scored 52 goals in 53 appearances to help his side win the treble.
Haaland: Sweet volley in training
Sports Brief also reported that Haaland demonstrated his extraordinary qualities again as he struck a ridiculous volley during a Norway team training session. Haaland has already proven time and again, over the short course of his career, that he is capable of the unthinkable. He basically averages a goal every match so far.
The 22-year-old just had a record-breaking season with Manchester City, where he broke all sorts of milestones in his maiden season in England. Haaland scored 52 times in 53 appearances to help Pep Guardiola's side win the unprecedented treble, with the elusive Champions League title finally coming home on June 10.
After the final versus Inter Milan in Istanbul and the four-day bender that followed, the Norwegian linked up with his international teammates as the race to qualify for next year's Euro Championships gathered pace.
