Cristiano Ronaldo's extraordinary achievement of reaching 200 international caps for Portugal has been recognized and honoured by Guinness World Records.
The Al-Nassr superstar accomplished this remarkable feat during Portugal's Euro 2024 Qualifiers match against Iceland on Tuesday, June 20.
As a tribute to his historic accomplishment, Ronaldo was presented with an official certificate by Guinness World Records, recognising him as a record holder. Additionally, he received a Portugal shirt adorned with the number "200" printed prominently on the back, symbolizing his record-breaking caps, per Sportskeeda.
Despite his record-setting achievement, the 38-year-old, who also holds the title of Portugal's all-time leading scorer, declared that he has no intentions of retiring from international football anytime soon, reaffirming his commitment to continue making an impact on the international stage.
On the occasion of his 200th appearance for Portugal, Ronaldo increased his tally, scoring the match-winner as the 2016 European champions strengthened their grip at the summit of Group J, Eurosport reports.
