Manchester City ace Kevi de Bruyne recently came up with a piece of genius tactical analysis on how his side were able to brush aside Arsenal so easily on Sunday, December 15.

The Citizens, as TUKO.co.ke reported, thumped the Gunners 3-0 in their own turf in a game which only compounded caretaker manager Freddie Ljunjberg’s problems.
De Bruyne was particularly in scintillating form and could have bagged a hat trick had it not been for the woodwork.
Despite his heroics, it was the Belgian’s post-match interview that really got fans buzzing as he brilliantly explained how his side were able to get the better of Arsenal and in all honesty, it wasn’t that difficult.
According to the 28-year old, Arsenal’s defence was struggling enough as it is and despite that fact, the attacking players did little to help at the back.
"They always stay with four up front, except [Gabriel] Martinelli who comes a little bit more so we always get spaces all over the pitch,”

He went on to analyse that an attacking side usually finds it much more difficult to break down a defence if the opponents are defending as a unit – including the players up front.
"I think it's really difficult for the six defenders to control it because obviously you can come from everywhere on the pitch,” he said as quoted by The Sun.
Arsenal’s attack on the day looked quite potent as it entailed the quartet of Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Nicholas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli.

On paper, it looked like De Bruyne singled out the trio excluding Martinelli, for Arsenal’s loss of most battles on the pitch.
During Unai Emery’s era, Ozil was also under criticism over his work ethic, and Emery often preferred the likes of Joe Willock and Lucas Torreira over the German.
Needless to say, it was quite the impressive tactical analysis from De Bruyne ,who is considered one of the most creative players not only in the Premier League, but in world football.
