The world's fastest athlete Usain Bolt is celebrating his daughter Olympia Lighting's first birthday.
When the eight-time Olympic medallist announced the birth of his daughter last year, his fans were amazed at his choice of name given his prowess on the track.
Being the athlete's first child with his girlfriend Kasi Bennett, Bolt won the hearts of many when he wrote a beautiful piece on Instagram to announce her entry into the world.
He did this on Bennett's birthday by sharing a photo of her cuddling the baby, adding that the couple had started a new chapter of their lives together with their daughter.
"I look forward to what the future will bring for us but be reassured that I will be the rock for this family," read part of the caption.
Ever since he introduced the daughter to the world, the 34-year-old has time and again shown just how much he enjoys being a father to the little girl through photos and videos of him babysitting her.
Bolt was at it again as Olympia turned one, writing a short but beautiful message for her.
He added that being a father has not only made him a better person but also given him the impetus to work harder.
"So happy that you came into my life and made me a better person and a father. I just want to be better and work harder. I just want to wish u Olympia a happy first birthday daddy will love u forever," he wrote.
Evidently, the retired athlete is enjoying fatherhood to the fullest.
